Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Each year, USAO spotlights student achievement with the Minerva Awards ceremony. Nominations for several awards are now open and the USAO Student Services Office needs students, faculty & staff to nominate individuals and organizations to be spotlighted during the early April celebration.

The Minerva Awards provides public recognition for outstanding students at the college. Students are honored for excellence in academics, community service, campus involvement and other areas.

Nomination forms are available online at www.usao.edu/minerva in the Minerva Awards Ceremony section. The deadline for award nominations is February 25th.

Several of the awards require letters of recommendation, so starting the nomination process early is a must, said Student Services officials.

Nominations are needed for the following awards:

The Service Learning Program at USAO is seeking nominations for the Service Learning and Civic Engagement Award. A link to the online nomination form is available on the Minerva Awards Ceremony web page.
