CHICKASHA – Six music seniors are taking a final bow with student recitals throughout March at the University of Science and Arts. Each recital showcases the students’ musical abilities, whether in voice, instrument or both. All recitals are free and open to the public.

“We hate to lose these good quality students, but it should be exciting to see the culmination of their career at USAO with their recitals,” said Dr. Ken Bohannon, associate professor of music.

Chickasha senior Gina Beth Taylor will perform March 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the USAO Alumni Chapel. A soprano singer and musician, Curtis will both sing and play the piano for her recital.

Two sopranos are joining forces March 13 for a concert in the Alumni Chapel. Lauren Martin of Henryetta is pairing up with Kristin Epperson of Moore for a joint recital at 7:30 p.m.

On March 15, Kory Thomas of Chickasha will sing in the Alumni Chapel. At 7:30 p.m., the tenor will perform a selection of songs.

The final recital for March features another pair of musicians: Minco senior Cassie Walje and Lisa Daniels of Sapulpa. Walje is a soprano singer and Daniels will perform on both cornet and piano.
